Research
The West Tennessee Research and Education Center is known for its research on agronomic and horticutural crops, with emphasis on corn, cotton, soybeans, wheat, ornamentals, vegetables and turf grasses.
UT scientists along with USDA Agricultural Research Service researchers, conduct more than 100 investigations annually to evaluate new cultivars, test and develop technology for more efficient crop production and ensure sustainable agriculture in a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment. Ornamental horticulture and lawn and landscaping managment are featured in the open gardens.
